Designed to perform in the same way as traditional florist's foam, these 100% natural blocks are made from volcanic basalt rock and spun into wool-like fibres. The blocks are then formed using a natural sucrose (cane/beet sugar), making them a natural product. Sideau biodegrades into basalt meal, a sand-like substance which is a nutritious soil-improver and growing medium. So once it is no longer usable for floristry, you can use it as a planting medium in the garden!
It can be easily cut using a sharp knife, isn't an irritant on the skin and can be used as it is for dried florals, or soaked time and again for fresh floral displays. Bind with chicken wire for extra support if creating large, heavy displays.
